So no fortnum and masons for us!

Previous years we've just nabbed the Aldi one which is highly recommended(Everywhere). But just a little too sweet for me.

Recommendations please! Up to £20 max

Should say 1kg one or slightly less. Not fussed about a fancy tin (but obviously lovely 🤩)

I always get mine from tkmaxx and they're always lovely.

They also do a range of flavours like pistachio etc if you wanted to try something different.

Costco usually have panettone in various flavours. We usually get the traditional fruit one which is delicious and very reasonably priced.

As @HolyMoly24 said, tk Maxx are great for panettone. I'd also suggest pandoro as a less-sweet alternative

I like a brand called Loison that I get from TK MAX, they don’t always have it . It’s from northern Italy.
I had also one from Sainsbury’s in a golden tin which was delicious.
I make a cream to go with it .
4 or 5 egg yolk and sugar , you beat it with the mixer . Depends how sweet you like it , I don’t put a lot of sugar , maybe 80 grams but you can double if you like it super sweet.
then you add 500 gr of mascarpone, mix it togheter .
separately you beat the egg white so that they become fluffy, and then you add them to the the mascarpone / egg/ sugar mix. Mix them app by hand with an upwards motion. I do this 30 minutes before I serve it .
then basically you have your slice of pandoro or panettone , the cream on top , bit of cocoa on top. Feels a bit like a Xmas tiramisu .
I’m Italian btw, in case you hadn’t guessed it 🤣🤣🤣

The Lidl ones are honestly very nice.
