Every year I find it harder to get these but maybe I’m not going to the right shops. Usually I try Poundland & Sainsbury’s, any other places I should be heading?

Primark, Home Bargains, B&M, Flying Tiger

LifeD1lemma · 16/11/2024 11:13

Rex London online

Libra19752 · 16/11/2024 11:13

Charity shops

LegoHouse274 · 16/11/2024 12:31

Depends what you want to put in them but I'd also add ive got things before from: Asda, Tesco, Boots, Superdrug, WHSmiths, The Works.

bookworm14 · 16/11/2024 12:33

Wicked Uncle, Flying Tiger, Etsy, Rex London.

yoshiblue · 16/11/2024 12:41

I avoid the pound shop, it's crap!

I'd say Home Bargains, B&M, Flying Tiger, The Works (cheap books), even Smyths Toys.

I tend to write an ideas list first eg got a Lego polybag (near a discovery centre), BOGOF Pokemon cards from Smyths.

Regularly reading the Toy section on Hot UK Deals too.

Smiggle, vinted (great for figures, books, sets of Lego), flying tiger, scout and co kids (online) and Mollymeg (online)

A few less obvious ones - Sostrene Grene, Ikea, Minisou, Hobbycraft, V&A, IWM, Science Museum, any museum shop.

Welshcakes28 · 16/11/2024 17:39

Another vote for Sostrene Grene for tasteful fillers
For a bit of tat that they love try websites like toys for a pound and Poundfun.
Second hand books on Ebay.
B&M had some great bath bomb sets - marvel hulk and spiderman
The range - I like their bags of bath dust and they have lots of craft sets
Supermarkets - Asda had some great Christmas baking sets so do M&S, also great for bubble bath, christmas sprinkles, squirty foam soap
Argos have great offers 2 for 20 or 2 for 15 on toys, especially lego
Lush - play soap and bath bombs
Amazon - galt toys kits and Orchard toys, kinetic sand kits - all will be on offer in black friday

WhatMe123 · 16/11/2024 17:40

B&m

Preppingdonkey · 16/11/2024 18:14

Supermarkets, Aldi, Lidl, Baker-Ross online.

Vienettafromvienna · 16/11/2024 18:40

I tried poundfun.com and got some amazing bargains. I only chose things I knew my DC would use. I was very impressed. I saw some of the stuff for sale in The Entertainer for loads more so I know I’ve saved a few pounds even with delivery on top!

I also got some bits from Rex London.

I think Poundfun change their stock very regularly so hopefully they still have some good options on there!

Comedycook · 16/11/2024 18:42

Smyths toys, the entertainer, home bargains, hobbycraft

Juliagreeneyes · 16/11/2024 19:19

Definitely Flying Tiger and Rex London online for younger kids; MiniSo and Sostrene Grene for older ones, esp girls!
