£30 budget, what are you asking for?

Hmm if it was me then probably a candle/reed diffuser and some chocolates! Always a safe bet

MissyB1 · 14/11/2024 16:29

A nice warm long scarf (type you get in M&S)
A cinema gift card
A bottle of Waitrose champagne (just under £30)
Bottle of Baileys and tin of Belgian biscuits
Gift card for local cafe

That's a big SS budget. Probably some nice glasses or crockery. I am always seeing things I like in TkMaxx but can't justify buying them for myself.

Whatamess23 · 14/11/2024 16:37

Clarins hand cream
Clarins moisturiser
Expensive conditioner - Olaplex, aveda cherry almond
Voucher for manicure
Fancy baubles

BeatriceAndLottie · 14/11/2024 16:38

The whole idea of Secret Santa is that the gift is a surprise.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 14/11/2024 16:40

Eh? Nothing! I would see absolutely no point in doing it if I was telling or being told what to buy.

aveenobambino · 14/11/2024 16:40

Candle
Nice hand soap
Love the idea above of gift card for local cafe!
We have a beautiful house and gardens near us whose annual membership is £30- if someone enjoyed that sort of thing that could be lovely (I would, but it's v personal!)
Cinema gift voucher if they enjoy movies
Costa gift voucher again if that sort of thing appeals
Donation to local animal shelter

JC03745 · 14/11/2024 16:42

Is this with work, friends, family or just a fictious ask?

Personally, I eat/drink anything so a bottle of wine/chocs would be good. Nice reed diffuser. Amaryllis bulb in a pot which might flower at Christmas. Scratch cards. If they knew me well, then a nice scarf. Cash 😆

Things I wouldn't want- a gift pack of Yardley or other lavender/roses/lily of the valley smells such as generic hand cream, body spray and a soap!

OliviaRodrighost · 14/11/2024 16:42

So you’re asking us what we would buy ourselves with £30? Who chooses a Secret Santa gift for themselves? What’s the point?

ChocolateLemsip · 14/11/2024 17:03

Great ideas!
Yes there is a point to choosing your own gift. Which is that this a family group and some members of the group have no time to find the perfect gift, and others have no ability to find a suitable gift. So we all tell each other exactly what we want 😅

Loving the fancy baubles idea! Can never normally justify such a big spend!

Then it’s not Secret Santa..

PenGold · 14/11/2024 17:09

For that budget I’d ask for a pair of PJs, a Crackle Wick candle, Lush Snow Fairy body spray, silver earrings or a relaxed fair isle knit beanie hat.

Then it’s not Secret Santa..

Yes it is. We don't know who has bought for whom, so it's secret. There are umpteen Secret Santa generators online and they have space for the recipient to note what they want.

Candle(s) and/or posh chocolates would be my wish. Or Christmas pyjamas......I love a Christmas pyjama!
