Xmas Day out in London with kids

Can anyone recommend a fun Christmassy day out with young children in London. Not a show as don't want to sad pend hundreds! Thank you !

I second Battersea! Miles less crowded/expensive than Winter Wonderland, the skating is great and it's so pretty! 😍

If you're not from the area, there's also a great bus route - the 139 - which goes down all the roads with the most magical lights. Wonderful to do with kids after dark. londonist.com/london/christmas-in-london/how-to-see-london-s-christmas-lights-by-bus

We are going to see a show but we are also intending to wander around Hamleys and Harrods (purely window shopping), go for a walk along Southbank, and have a look round Covent Garden. Will be hideously busy of course!
