That really, we are north west based looking for different experience ideas for gifts.

Last year took ds 9 and dn11 to Harry Potter tour with a night stay it was fantastic but can’t think of anything this year . We have the Merlin passes so they are out. Done zoo keeper, go ape and water parks. They like everything I’ve just run out of ideas.

Any inspiration would be greatly appreciated.

Zip World

Alpaca walk

Go karting

Plane ride? Our local airport does these, small plane, dh flew with a pilot, dc went with him.

Indoor trampoline inside a cave (seen on Facebook)

Spud90 · 13/11/2024 18:46

Zipworld? We did gift vouchers for zip world bounce below which is big trampoline nets underground in the slate caverns. We're doing vouchers again this year for the forest coaster but there's other things to do too.

Our boys are a bit older (8 and 10) but the big hits for experience have been VR places where they can do VR games, ceramic painting places for some reason, laser tag, and arcades.

For the younger one we bought a Fahlo bracelet where they could adopt an animal and track it online. He really enjoyed that when he was 6 or 7.

A stay in Manchester?

Trafford Centre- ski dome or nerf battle

And/or theatre- We took the kids to a brilliant science magic show at the lowry last year, and the same guy is doing another show there at the end of January.

Finish with a trip to China town. Hot pot restaurants are always fun with kids

Cinema tickets. Some cinemas do vouchers which include the admission, popcorn and drink.

Are there any mazes near you?

My local ice cream and lolly store gives gift vouchers.

Thanks everyone very productive thread. My sister is buying Ds 9 the Fahlo bracelets (shark), going to take Ds 6 on the Utd tour for xmas and we’re booking family tickets to the lowery children’s science show for Ds 9 birthday in Jan.

Thinking of booking chaos carting Manchester for Bil 48 and Dn 12. And currently looking at the Tipi’s at greenwood family park wales which look ace whilst googling zip world

Also found out that zipworld have taken over the tree trek park in Heaton Park Manchester and are currently doing 50% discount for November/December with a fairly wide local postcode for anyone local.

Thanks everyone 🙏

Ooh I’ll look at the Heaton park thing, thanks!

Doingthework · 29/12/2024 15:54

@Rtmhwales

Just thought I’d come back to say a big thanks re the Fahlo . My sister ended up with a good deal and bought her two one each and my two one each . Grandma ended up with her favourite giraffe too!

Of all of them my nephew 12 got a polar bear and was the most pleased. We think they can create a group and all track each others.

A. Very big hit vs the cost 👍
