Dolls that don't have scary eyes

I was thinking of getting DS2 (2) a doll for Christmas, but they all look like they are possessed or about to commence hypnosis. Are there any that aren't terrifying? I think he'll like pushing it in the swings and putting it down the slide, so looking for something very basic rather than any interactive features. He's also tiny (still in 12-18 month clothes) so something that won't swamp him!

Something like this ELC one, but without the evil plotting.

I like Corolle dolls for being less hideous in expression. They're expensive generally but they do a small bath doll that's cheaper and will cope with whatever's thrown at it and is the perfect size for this age.

My kids liked the miniland dolls at that age. My son's favorite was the Hispanic boy doll and that didn't have death stare eyes. It can also be washed. Alternatively one of the dinkum dolls/is Waldorf dolls but they are soft.

Thank you! Is there any benefit to soft vs hard body? I assumed soft would be nicer to play with.
