A good homemade churney recipe?

Does anyone have a tried and tested chutney recipe they are willing to share? We will be visiting lots of people over the festive season so I thought it would be nice to give them all some chutney.

I made Mary Berry’s Christmas Chutney one year, it was nice enough but it was a bit plain.

I like this apple and ginger chutney recipe

On the same website there is one for an apple, fig and pear one that I've been meaning to try!

A churney you say? I thought this might be a region thing, but far more likely just a typo 😁

I generally make chutney with whatever fruit I have in excess at the time- ideally free! Fig, apple, pear, plum etc when in season. Any chutney needs time to settle/steep etc so I would have made one to be given away at Christmas already, but some I've used before:

Get set for Christmas with this sticky make-ahead chutney. Serve as part of a cheeseboard alongside blue cheeses, or package to give as a gift
