How do you ask your kids what they want fo christmas/ from santa
Whether it be out right asking, making them write a wish list, circle in a catalogue, cut and stick from a catalogue or all just surprise gifts
Just curious:) please no negative or hate 💜

For my teenage twins, I make sure they write lists because they also have their birthdays a week before Christmas and there is no way I'd know what to buy for all of them! I do surprise them both as well and add in whatever I think they'll love but I make sure to get everything on their list which they literally just Whatsapp me tbh or I'll ask them if there's anything they especially fancy. This means I do the same for my 13 year old son although birthday is November.

Then for my younger 2, they do the Santa list thing although in our house, Santa has always done one big gift and then they know that we are buying the rest of them. Then they write us a big list with all of the stuff they want with lots of glitter that they pin on the fridge and we buy them what they want and then try add in some surprises too 😁

Stockings are always surprises really but they are very easy to get anyway

This year my daughter (5) has asked for things (a watch, a gem dig kit, and pencil case) and then one rainy afternoon I asked her to cut and stick from the Smyths catalog just to keep her busy.

I have found that the things she genuinely wants are the things she asked for verbally. The things she has cut out and stuck I don't think she even knows what they are they just look cute so I'm disregarding them and buying things I think she will like based on her interests.

As a family we all do Christmas lists. It does not guarantee you will get what you want, but there is a good chance. Your list may make somebody "think outside the box". We haven't been disappointed for years, by getting socks or whatever.

Mine (4) usually just tells me when she sees something she wants! "I'm going to ask Santa for the Bluey fire engine". This was back in June, she's still saying it and adds more every time she sees something she wants. I sneaky type it into my notes app when I get a chance after she says it

I used to say…ooh what are you asking Santa for this yeah, if the didn’t tell me I’d be nosy at thier lists. Most of the time they let me know they were asking Santa for something.
