I want luxury children's Xmas crackers but the results I get on Google are crap.

Fortnum and Mason, Liberty? Usual places that wealthy people shop

IAKnowyou · 08/11/2024 19:37

Are you looking for more of a luxury design, or luxury contents ? Or both?
What sort of things are you wanting the cracker gifts to be?

ChristmasCwtch · 08/11/2024 19:48

Fortnum.

Or buy fabric crackers from Etsy and fill your own with lovely things.

MySistersCard · 08/11/2024 19:58

I’m not sure Fortnums do children’s crackers specifically.

Nancy and Betty have nice plastic free crackers for children but they are not super-lux.

I used to use ordinary nice crackers and swap the gifts for child-friendly ones myself.

Yes, I think the two above are a bit naff, they don’t look luxury if that’s what you’re going for. I would fill your own, that way you can put proper stuff in, not some cheap badges that will get thrown away at the end of the day.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 08/11/2024 20:50

Yeh I am surprised there's actually nothing better tbh. There has to be somewhere but obviously my searches are not elitist enough haha.

Maybe I will just buy ones for me to fill.

They're just crackers

No one cares how fancy they are

StandingSideBySide · 08/11/2024 20:54

I saw some in Harrods pre Covid. £900 for 6. That elitist enough?!

MargotwithaT · 08/11/2024 20:59

I think Lakeland have some really nice ones.
If you are in the North West maybe go to Bents Garden Centre. They have things like that there.

I'm not sure what you call the elite but Lakeland do some nice ones- some with games racing snowmen Bowling games etc etc in them. This may not be posh enough for you though 😊

IAKnowyou · 08/11/2024 21:01

Yes I think they look lovely, but the contents is a bit naff if that's the part you're looking for.
Would you be open to making your own, adding your own luxury item inside ? That would be more personal and probably quite fun!

To be fair, op, thirty quid really doesn’t say “elite”.

I don't like those you've listed OP. The cost doesnt exactly represent the goods either. It's a sparkly brooch and I'm sure (sorry to say) if one of my ds (7 and 4) got one they'd rather play with the flicky frogs in the cheap ones (which you can also get in fancier wrapping so to speak). Watching though in case I've missed a trick. Fwiw I make our own. This year my boys are getting a TMNT akedo figure each in there's, my DD will be getting her very first mini brushable my little pony (she's 2). They will love them.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 08/11/2024 21:05

Tbh I started the thread more out of curiosity because the mega rich must buy super fancy crackers for their kids - bit from where?!
Realistically I'm not spending more than £40/£50 on crackers for a 3 and 5 year old bit of I got some that actually had good quality stuff on them, is definitely buy them!

Supermarket. The fun is in the snap, crackle, crap joke, paper hat, and rubbish toy. You can wrap a nicer quality table gift if that's what you're after.

Yeh I agree, the content is disappointing. The website has absolutely lovely looking stuff from the outside, but the execution as a whole, is poor!

I should just buy ones to fill myself. Ho hum!

I’ve also bought crackers from Emma Bridgewater in the past. They are very nice.
