I want luxury children's Xmas crackers but the results I get on Google are crap.

These are not "luxe" but they are the BEST crackers - I bought them three years ago, and DS was literally playing with one of the bugs just yesterday: Kuckoo Crackers - 6 x 12-inch Acrobatic Spinning Bug Christmas Crackers amzn.eu/d/3Qa37dj

The same brand do a few decent options.

I don't understand the individualised gifts in crackers because when I was growing up the person left with the big and after pulling the cracker with another person was the person who got whatever was inside. In theory one person could end up with all the gifts. Have we been doing it wrong in our family??

Good point 🤔

Op you should try Little Crafty Bugs as they have wonderful cracker gifts for all ages and the empty crackers too, been using them for years now.

Loving the stuff on crafty little bugs! Even for stocking fillers

Yes i really like this range - we had ones with little toy teddy bears in last year and they’re v nice. Not “high end luxury” at all, but nice little toys, quite sweet and well made. I like the look of the music box ones too. There are some ones with sylvanian family type things in as well.

This year I’ve got Taskmaster puzzle crackers!

HarrietBond · 09/11/2024 10:47

I was going to say Puzzle Post for crackers too. The Taskmaster ones last year were great. This year they’re also doing Traitors ones.

The obvious choice for Elite crackers would be F&M, Harvey Nicks, Harrods etc

IAKnowyou · 13/11/2024 17:43

I don't know if you've settled on a cracker yet... these just came up recommended for me online. They're not branded luxury.. but they are pretty lovely I think.

Get the racing santas ones for after dinner fun
the youngsters will love them and you can keep the racing santas for following years

I fear the answer you're not going to like is that they get their staff to make them. Some arts and crafty type that they have on staff will spend all of November shopping and keeping toilet roll inserts and then they spend December putting them together.

Only joking.

I actually bought some really stunning adult appropriate crackers some years ago from M&S and the outside was actually a linen napkin!

For kids - they don't get the posh type of Christmas Cracker - they get what is in the supermarket, the adults get the posh ones.

The problem is that v luxury crackers are often just stupid stuff made expensive eg solid silver cocktail jigger. And kids don’t really want things like that.

Im surprised Lego haven’t got into the Christmas cracker market.

They have gone into the Advent Calendar market though! 😉

My mum stuffs a fiver in each of our supermarket crackers :)

I'm the opposite - every year I search in vain for the old fashioned cheap and cheerful crackers as I really want a tiny pack of cards, the miniature screwdriver set, a plastic ring so we can all 'marry' each other over desert, some curly fish and a few impossible puzzles.

Do these even exist anymore???

I LOVE the mini screwdrivers, so useful and dinky

Also love the curly fish because my sweet little nan always ends up being 'jealous' or 'selfish' or something and it cracks us all up

I also used to collect the mini locks and keys that came in crackers as a child.

The tat is what makes crackers fun in my opinion. My daughter would be gutted to pull a cracker and receive something that's actually tasteful Grin
