Where do you buy your booze for Christmas? We have family staying this year and despite being 35w pregnant, they will all want a tipple or 2.
Probably need beer and wine mainly.
I was wondering whether supermarkets are best bet, or whether to order wine from a specialist shop such as laithwaites or beer direct from brewery.
Do they tend to do Black Friday deals that make it worth it?

I drink a lot of wine! The best place IMO is Waitrose. They have good offers a lot of the time and if you buy 6 bottles you get 5%off. They sometimes do 25% off 6 bottles, but the other offers aren't in place IYSWIM. Their wine is generally good cake for the price. Sainsbury's and Asda are crap.
Sometimes Tesco had good deals but not consistently good wine

It depends how fussy you are about which wine & beer. Tesco have 25% off 3 bottles or more for wine at the moment but it’s not all the wine, some is really nice, some isn’t great but is okay for the price.

Beer- depending on what you’re looking for Asda sometimes has good deals on, so does Tesco. If you have the Asda rewards app then the last few weeks they’ve had a few good offers on different beer/lager so it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on there!

Lidl are pretty good for wine. This has some really gorgeous beers in. If you want a particular brewery most do mail order.

I usually do a list and shop around. It depends really strongly on what you want. Supermarkets do have good offers and do have good options. I agree that Waitrose is very good shout for wines at the moment but if you are after big pack of ordinary beers I would rather google Asda, Tesco or Morrisons.

I don't think they want ordinary beers so will have a look online thank you.
