Scooter for 8 year old

DS (8) would like a scooter. He's been on a small wheeled Razor on holiday and really liked it.

But looking at the website, the choice is baffling. Should I get small or big wheels? Why are the expensive ones so much more?

Are light up wheels naff?

What do your 8-10 year olds have?

At 8 the two wheeled micro, can't remember what it's called. Possibly maxi micro!
