Selection box of wax melts and a wax burner - that way you can choose a choice of fragrance and the wax melt burner itself is a longer present they can keep.

Ebay and Etsy have excellent choices from small businesses (please shop small!!!). Then I'd add a nice scarf or something like chocolates

Place-marking for gift ideas, as I am just about to start a new job with my long-time friend and former mentor as my new manager. She is mid-40s too. She loves champagne, so I was planning on getting her a bottle of Tattinger champagne (her favourite) and a Fortnum and Mason champagne stopper and a few other treats.
