Fresh ideas for stocking fillers

Each year I have about 8 adult stockings to do and this year I have 4 baby/toddler stockings too.

everyone loves their stocking and they all typically contain a lush bath bomb, a hotel chocolat selector, nice socks or gloves, a scratch card, some stationery, quirky drink and then a couple of more personal items. When Hawkins Bazaar was good, I’d always get something silly from there.

Its worked really well- easy for me as I’d get everyone something similar from each shop, but I’d like to change it up a bit this year. I hate shopping though and am not up to date with new things. My kids are all quite into ethically produced items, and I’d love to be able to get quirky bits like they had in Hawkins.

does anyone have any suggestions for new shops ( real or online) to try for these sorts of stocking fillers? Ideally things that can be ‘used’ rather than clutter

Maybe somewhere like flying tiger or neon sheep?

tkmaxx for smellies and socks

Sostrene Greene if there’s one near you. Lots of lovely little trinkets and things that are natural materials.

Sorry, no ideas from me but really intrigued by 'quirky drinks' 🤔

Things like Korean pop or bubble tea, last year a full set of BTS cans, previously everyone got a Pokemon can of pop etc. I just pick the most random stuff from the Japanese supermarket in town ☺️

They don't fit in the stockings but I always get the DC a multi pack of fancy Korean instant noodles - I get the drink thing.

My kids are teens. We challenge each other to source Crazy bits from the charity shop for stockings.

Plaque staining tabs are enjoyed.

Otherwise I will get things they need like new water bottle, underwear, fluffy socks. And then BAM! some gorgeous earrings.

Another vote for sostrene grene!

Good Things Gifts does lots of fun ethical stocking fillers

If you have a Sostrene Grene shop anywhere nearby they do great stocking fillers - kitchen stuff, bathroom and toiletries, snacks, stationery, arts and crafts, and really nice stuff for children, too.

I popped into Flying Tiger the other day and came out with quite a few bits for my 18 and 20 year olds. We're really trying to cut down on stocking fillers that will end up in a cupboard so I was pleased they had a few things in that will actually be really useful!

This may not apply to you, but things I put in my young adult dd stocking are- cotton pads and buds, new fake tan miits, new razor and shaving foam. A cheap perfume. Lip balm, face masks, chocolate. Fluffy socks, maybe some supermarket make up, new knickers, and other bits and pieces.

These over a chocolate orange (especially if you can get your hands on a popping candy one) www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1328509210/ and went down very well last year!

www.etsy.com/uk/listing/876204070/ These drinks stirrers were also a hit!

Oh and hairclips and bobbles
