Christmas book - 8 year old boy

I've always done 1st December box for my children who are now grown up.
Have handed down most of their Xmas books but started buying my friend's little boy Xmas Pj's on 1st December.
Any recommendations for Xmas book preferably a funny one.

My 7&8 year old boys are loving "the book with no pictures" at the moment.

The Christmasaurus is a favourite here and the subsequent ones, have read them to 8/9 year old.

Edited to add: still much loved by my 11 year old, so longevity in them too.

I was going to go with christmasaurus too! Then if he likes it there are a couple of others you can get him over the next couple of years

Good suggestions already, to add Michael Murporgo did a novel version of The Snowman which was rather lovely

Im not a fan of celebrity authors at all but the christmasaurus books are genuinely lovely books. My son loves them so much and I enjoy reading them with him.

Alex T Smith has written some lovely Christmas books - we’ve enjoyed The Grumpus and The Nutcracker books here
