Wrapping book advent for 2.5 year old

I'm doing a book advent for my 2.5 year old.

Last year (the first year I did it), I didn't wrap them - however this year should I? Its pretty much the same books but he wont remember, and I'm wondering if it will make it more fun for him to unwrap a book each day?

I have lots of surplus (recyclable) wrapping paper so not worried about waste - its getting wasted anyway sitting around slowly fading.

Is 2.5 too young for this yet?

Also - if you do wrap them, do you number them? or just let them pick one at random?

And if you wrap them each year, do you buy new books, or just continue reusing the old ones - and maybe slowly switch out to age appropriate ones?

For years I've bought our DCs Book advent calendar's that are in a proper Calendar box. I think I got them from The Works, or Smyths or somewhere similar. They're small stories but DCs loved opening the little window for their daily books!

I should have done that I guess, but I bought all the books last year from the works (£10 for 10) as I was too excited aha

Why don't you create a parcel envelope or a little box that can be used a few times. Change the number label on the front each day and leave it out each morning on the dining room table on rge hall floor as if it's been posted? 😊

I use fabric wrapping with wood cookie numbers. I just wrap one at a time esp only one piece of fabric needed.

Wrap them 😄
my son was 2 when his grandparents did this for him in a big box.

I did this for my DD when she was about the same age. Wrapped them in all before the first then just left one on our our door mat each evening about 5pm and let her find it. Occasionally would do the whole oh I think I heard someone at the door but generally just left them for her to find. She had to walk past the front door any time she left the livingroom so easy for her to spot.
