Generic stocking fillers for age 5-11

I’m putting together two Christmas stockings for a game

One for a girl, one for a boy, will be won by a girl and a boy aged anywhere between 5 and 11 so contents have to be appealing/appropriate for that wide age spectrum 😊

I’m avoiding Disney Princess, dinosaurs kind of thing that might appeal to say age 5-8 but not to 9-11.

Can anyone think of anything else that would be a hit but is a ‘stocking’ gift? I’m finding Boy stocking a lot harder than girl.

Also avoiding slime as I know not all parents like it and I don’t want to fill the stocking with plastic bits that will go in the recycling within minutes.

Boys like stickers and can use pads and pencils (and pencil sharpeners!) too.

I know they do 😊 I’ve got pens and a pencil case in the boys stocking. I’ve looked at stickers, I need to find a pencil sharpener. .

i have 5 year old and 9 year old boys. Some things they are into atm:

Pranks: Whoppee cushion, cockroach snapping gum, fake poo, fake nail through finger, etc

Crystal art / diamond painting stickers or keyrings in non “girly” themes - they have done Harry Potter, Star Wars, dogs, etc. Good selection on Amazon. “Crystal art buddies” range are mostly wood

XL loom bands (same idea as normal tiny loom bands but in chunky elastic)

Both have asked for stopwatches in their stockings this yr, the kind that hang round a pe teachers neck 😂

Fun socks: tie dye, fast food print

All these suitable for a girls stocking as well tbh.

Top Trumps card game? There are so many themes available and my kids (9 & 6) and their friends love them. Wonders of the world and the Ancient Egyptians have always been big hits here with other boys and girls.

who doesn’t love a bouncy ball? Or what about those large round balloons that have an elastic and you put your hard through the elastic and can kind of bounce the balloon around. A nice shower gel like you can get chocolate or fruity scented ones?

I would mix up the girls and boys stockings a bit.
They sound great if you get a crafty, arty child. But if you aren't into drawing, it's all very same-y

Thank you everyone. I’ve bought little loom bag kit with charms for each stocking and I’m trying to decide between Uno flip game and the Wanabo frisbee. I’m going to take out a couple of the arty bits because I do agree it’s too arty and not all children love arts/crafts. I’ve added a bath bomb and i’m looking for a fidget keyring for each.
