Starting again with Christmas decorations

Last weekend I lost all our Christmas decorations, tree, wreaths etc - including all the sentimental ornaments collected over years. 😥 Where to start? I'm not sure whether to plan a colour-coordinated tree (and which tree??) or not. I always loved our eclectic look but there doesn't seem much point trying to recreate it from scratch. What would you do?

Not daft, very understandable to be upset.

I wouldn't buy a whole colour theme or whatever because I'd be in shock and wouldn't know what I'd really want.

I'd personally confront the loss, do a Wartime Farm-style handmaking/making do/charity shop approach for this year and start rebuilding as you did before - getting kids to pick over time etc.

This way I would hope to end up with new good memories.
