How soon to buy Xmas chocolate?

I want to get ahead with my Christmas shopping and was thinking of buying the kids chocolate bits - selection packs, chocolate Father Christmas's etc now. Is it too early or ok if I store them correctly?

Depends on your self control 😏 If you trust yourself not to eat them, they'll be fine!

Lindt reindeer and Santas are on Tesco Clubcard prices atm so I bought those (always one still in the Dc sticking even though they are young adults now)

Tesco also had v reasonable little selection boxes on Clubcard. Soon it will be Lindor. I wait for each thing to be on offer.

Depends on your kids/partner really. My mother always had to wait until 2-3 days before as me and dad were twats would get late night munchies and go searching for them as we knew she started Xmas shopping in September.

If they'll be left alone and unfound and stored away from a heat source it should be fine - check the use by dates though I've seen a few early selection packs with mid December dates on them.

Of course it's okay - they're stored on the supermarket shelves so it'll be fine to put them on your shelf!

We've already got most of our chocolates, sweets and snacks.

I’ve made a start - I’ve got a weird shape cabinet up one corner of my dining area which is good for nothing except Christmas snacks so I’ve already got the must haves
need to get advent calendars now though

They're fine to store but I've just eaten a chocolate elf so I clearly need to hold off! 😅

I bought my quality street in the summer (weirdly. On a ferry between Germany and Denmark). The best before date is end of January.
