What are you getting your 7/8 year old girls?

I'd really appreciate any suggestions for this age as it's one of those in-between ages so far DD wants loom bands, Sticki rolls and a skateboard. She wants a switch lite as well and I'm considering it. She doesn't like Lego

My 8 year old loves loom bands and has asked for sticki rolls too. Last year she had heelys and Spirograph which were both big hits. We’re getting super Spirograph this time and possibly a dance mat! Glitter tattoos would be popular with mine too.

Mine already has a switch and loves it. It is the standard switch not the lite version and I'd recommend that if you can, stretch to the extra as it can connect to the TV for family use.

She loves loom bands and bracelet making. Still likes LOL dolls, squishmallows. She also loves anything Hello Kitty and Pokémon, nail polish. Enjoys reading especially Bunny v Monkey books. Recent things we've purchased that she loves - fluffy cushion and blanket for her bed. Hello kitty prints for her wall. Feather lamp shade.

She really loved Posca Pens and blanks last year and Bluetooth over ear headphones from Smiggle.

Has a bike and a scooter. Would like roller skates or Heeleys but when we've had these in the past or tried someone else's she is scared of falling and being hurt.

It's a difficult age because she is still a child and loves her LOL dolls and toys and I like to encourage this but she is also changing before my eyes into a little lady who is desperate to be more grown up. I like to buy Xmas presents with a bit of longevity as I don't like to spoil her too much during the year.(She's an only and it's very tempting to do so).

If she likes Loom bands and Sticki Rolls, she’d probably also like a Kumi Kreator. That was a big hit with dd.

We bought DD a switch last year when she was almost 7 and it’s been a good buy. We got the full version though so we could do Mariokart races on the TV as I was worried about her wanting to just sit on it on her own for hours. She hasn’t anyway to be fair.

This year she has asked for a squishy maker and a skateboard. Between family and us she’s also getting a switch game, game of life, an Oodie, LED lights for her room, Posca pens and a selection of craft bits, clothes (she loves fashion), and a nail studio set. Plus the usual pjs and books.

My mum is getting her a bracelet making kit and some more books. I still need a bit of inspiration though - I don't want to go mad but I think I need something with a bit more pizzazz. But I'm not sure what! I don't worry too much about longevity as kids change a lot at this age - I'm sure she won't like the same stuff when she's 10. I do like the look of the Eugy models.

My Niece (7) loves her crafts and so I'm going to get her a sewing machine and starter book (although there are tonnes of youtube tutorials now!). Mine has asked for a guitar, some magic tricks, some books, some dressing up clothes, a hula hoop, some maxi length dresses… she’s never been into toys though and is more of a performer/reader. My youngest wants ALL the toys! Kids are so different.. just go with her interests.

I'm also really stuck with Christmas, I really disagree with the hundreds of pounds parents are expected to fork out every year, I much prefer the food, the warmth, films, the feeling of 'Christmas' but I also remember only caring about presents when I was a kid. I'm a sole parent with zero support from her father so I haven't got much in the way of money to blow on presents.
