Morrisons Christmas food to order

Just gone looking to do my annual Morrisons Christmas Food to Order to find they’ve changed it! There’s barely any choice in my store
compared to previous years and it seems like it’s just a normal click and collect slot now rather than the specialised Christmas pick up.

Does anyone know if your items are actually reserved and guaranteed like in previous years or is it now just like the groceries order, if it’s in on the day you might be lucky?

It's all part of the click and collect and home delivery now so don't think any of it is reserved as you no longer pay a deposit either.

I think they will have a lot of unhappy customers.

I was wondering this. I’ve done Morrisons the last few years and it’s always been so easy.
They still have the brochure and the website says it is collected alongside click and collect now. It’s kind of giving the impression it is still reserved but it’s not entirely clear.
I’ll go to M&S it that’s the case at least then I know I can get everything.

Just FYI for anyone this is the response I’ve just had from Morrisons:

I understand your concern regarding the product availability in your order. Please be advised now that the food to order has been migrated to the online order. In which you need to place the order online and collect it from the collection point.

We always aim to provide all products in your order, but due to the high demand for deliveries we receive, it is possible for items to be out of stock when it comes round for them to be picked.

So the Christmas food I’ve ordered from Morrisons for the last 6 or so years will now no longer be guaranteed. What a silly move by them. Off to cancel my order and find somewhere else.

eve used Morrisons food to order the last few years and it’s been so handy. We don’t have much choice around here either so my only other option is M&S which is an almost 50 mile round trip.
Morrisons is a mile away and no local butcher anymore so Markies it is.

We ended up doing a click n collect from them last year and almost all the main food items were missing so not recommended!
