Gifts for 9yo ds - not boyish at all

Actually looking for bday and christmas ideas so all welcome.

He likes animals (but we are v definitely a No Pet house) - his main bday gift is an adoption from London Zoo with a big cuddly toy version of that animal (his only request re what he wants is more cuddly toys, but we have so many).

Not into sport.

He is v musical - plays piano and violin - but we have these at home and also various other instruments like various drums and keyboards

He loves arts and crafts but we have everything I can think of that is artsy and crafty. He is the youngest so he can play with all his siblings' toys too.

He likes board games - I am suggesting GPs get him Blokus for Christmas.

Help...

Something cool like an Apple Pencil and a paid app/program for drawing stuff on an iPad?

Lego?

a zookeeper 'experience?' - near us you can feed a giraffe or penguins etc?

something outdoorsy but not sporty per se - rollerboots/blades? Skateboard? basketball hoop?

my 9y/o would love a Nintendo switch if money was no object...

a cool new loft bed?!

London Zoo do overnight stays in lodges with night walks through the Zoo, might be something to consider for next year.

Chess set? A travel set was one of my 9 year old ds's best ever gifts.

A surprising hit with mine was a book about terrariums and the stuff required to make one. He's now plant obsessed. Apparently if he can't have a pet, plants are the next best thing.

Would you consider sea monkeys? Then it’s like having a pet but you wouldn’t really have to do anything 🤔

A 3D pen

A build a bear of his favourite animal

A build your own guitar or other instrument

Theatre trip? If he is musical then a ballet or orchestra.

A robot pet. Lots of different ones are available at lots of different prices.

A 3D pen idea sounds amazing OP! Or could be a kid-friendly video editor if he's into digital things. Also you can make a desk calendar with his favorite animals and interesting facts about them.
Edit to add: a zoo experience would be a great idea as well, or maybe you can get him a seasonal pass?
