What do I want for Christmas?.

Early I know but I've started being asked for ideas. Budget £50 and I can't really think of much I need that isn't boring. It needs to be a an actual gift rather than vouchers or an experience as it's a secret santa type thing.

I'm 42 if it's relevant.

I just want a peaceful, quiet, happy Christmas. That's it for me 🙂 (I'm 40) 🙂

Massive box of pick and mix lindt

The new Richard Osman book, the new Deborah Harkness Discovery of witches book, bar or pick n mix lindt, small bottle of JD or Southern Comfort

I have two of these cashmere scarves in different colours and wear them a lot when it’s cold. They are really soft and warm.

A Lytham Festival ticket, and an Imagine Dragons ticket.

Ridiculous money for socks, but I love my cashmere socks. I wear them inside my slippers for winter and they are So Warm and So Cosy. It may be Too Boring though.

Fragonard (bigger collection on their website, smaller at M and S) do gorgeous perfumes for a bit less than £50.

Or would you enjoy a favourite book + a favourite tipple + some chocs? Not necessarily exciting but if they're things you wouldn't normally treat yourself too it can be nice.

I guess I tend to think of things I like (so for me: being cosy, reading, tea, cheese, chocolates, lovely smells) and then pick luxurious versions of them that I wouldn't generally buy - so a tin of Fortnums loose leaf tea, or cashmere socks or some really good leather gloves, or fancy pyjamas or whatever.

A flower subscription
Vouchers for a nice restaurant or a spa/beauty salon/cafe
Theatre tickets
Cinema vouchers
A new or fancy lamp

If you drink tea/coffee, ask for a stockpile of the brand you love plus a new mug, that way you'll think of the gift giver when you have a cuppa all year.
Posh chocolate/stockpile of cheap chocolate

You could combine them all
E.g. find an outfit you really love or a beautiful coat that costs £200 and ask everyone for money towards it, ditto leather handbag/rucksack
If you like getting nails done, ask for vouchers from the same salon from everyone then it adds up to a year's nice nails.
Or combine for a trip away somewhere e.g. the races/charity ball/Christmas market in amsterdam/UK city break

On my list is:

Some emerald cut studs (not the real thing alas 😂)
A new everyday dinner set
Clothes
Some L’occitane shower oil and shea butter handcream
A small leather pencil case
Audible subscription

I’m very easy to buy for though as always have a list.

Some really good ideas, thank-you. Sadly vouchers are off the table as we've all agreed we'll get actual gifts for everyone to open.

A book voucher, I have lots of books so don't really want books that I haven't pets asked one person for.

I want a globe - I'm useless at geography but I love looking at a map and zoning in on a tiny island and wondering what it's like .
A proper globe not a flat wall map .

I collected Emma Bridgewater mugs for a while until I had enough for my mug shelf… so I asked for these one year and they make me happy every day.

Hear me out- imagine christmas morning unwrapping your gift. And you are surprised to find your own washing basket? Confused? Because it is empty! And then you go upstairs and everything is ironed and either folded or hung away.
Imagine that! That's what I want for Christmas 😂 I literally think I would cry of happiness!

I'm lusting after a pair of hexagon hoop earrings from andotherstories and after watching Jamie Oliver's new show on Monday I now really want the book. I also always love anything with molton salted caramel from Hotel Chocolat 🤤
