Hi, with Christmas on its merry way, I wondered if people might share what toys their children have that have proven worth the money?

We were given a Toot Toot pirate ship. I wouldn’t have guessed it, but my kids have had loads of use out of it. I’d definitely recommend it for young ones.

DC are 10 and 12. Most played with (and still played with):

My daughter loved all of these too.

Kinetic sand. My daughter still plays with it at 11!

Toy kitchen with food. DS got it for his 3rd birthday. He's now 12 and doesn't play with toys much anymore but DD 9 still gets it out and does tea parties for her dolls/cuddly toys.

Magnet tiles are constantly out in our house!

Duplo. Had since my eldest was 2. He's now 9 and him and 7 year old DS still play with it.

Vtech Toot toot animals treehouse which was played with constantly for years.

Play doh. We have to buy new pots every so often but my 7 year old still loves it

Mr potato heads. My 7 year old suddenly rekindled his love of Toy Story last year and the only thing he asked for for his birthday were woody and buzz mr potato heads. They are his absolute pride and joy and he plays with them every day
