Christmas tree alternatives?

I love Christmas! I don't like the tree faff and this year I'll be working away until the 23rd Dec so I want to make our home festive but won't be putting up a tree.

What can I do that looks lovely to put presents around without looking like the Grinch?

Do you have a fireplace you decorate? If it wasn't for DH I wouldn't have a tree, just my lovely decorated fireplace!

What about one of the tree’s that isn’t actually a Christmas tree it’s just a plastic tree with basically fairy lights on the end? We have one for the upstairs landing and I love it, no hassle just take it out of the box and plug it in😂

No fireplace sadly! I'd like something classic not coloured flashing lights. Understated but festive.

Could you make a tree shape with fairy lights and put on the wall?
Use a potted plant as a tree- adding some tinsel/baubles. When I was in a flat, I had thin twig/reed type stick, covered in glitter in a large vase. I used to decorate that as a 'tree'

Something wall mounted, twig tree on Amazon, rope light colour changing tree, pop up tree, lighted branches or just a festive scene wall drop.

Look online at Christmas decorated fireplaces and tables. Use those ideas to decorate an area in your home.
Could be a side table or coffee table or sideboard. Or a corner of the room.
