Football gifts - 8/9 year old son

Hi, my son will be 9 two weeks after Christmas and loves football and Liverpool. He gets a new kit and ball each year and has the large goal in the garden and large amounts of football cards, Liverpool water bottle, hat etc. grandparents thinking about getting an Anfield tour this year.

Does anyone have any other ideas for football related gifts? I’ve got birthday and Christmas to sort!

Thank you

Football magazine - depending on how mature DS is either Match or FourFourTwo.

Do you have a games console or gaming computer?

Football billionaire is a good board game- similar to monopoly but you are building a squad with your money.
Bit boring but a boot buddy for cleaning boots?!

If you stuggle to get match tickets look out for the Legends match - usually March/April time, as doesn’t sell out as quickly as other matches and is a general rather than members only sale. Great way to experience Anfield even though it’s not current team.

Can’t remember when they go on sale, but usually a while before the match.

A voucher for club shop would be great as so much in there to chose from.

Also you can get magnetic league tables with all the club names so he can rearrange the table after each game.

Football Museum visit (Manchester) is great.

For our DS’s birthday we got cardboard masks of the players and used them as decorations.

Football top trumps have gone down well here.

England shirt (or, obviously, his national team!).

Programme subscription. Probably for next season now, but they probably do half season's.

Redo his bedroom. I expect they do wallpaper, beanbags, bedding, lampshades etc.

Day out as a mascot. I have no idea how they do this at Liverpool.

Tickets to a game. May have to be corporate, and mega expensive, if you can't source match day tickets.

If you don't live near Anfield, maybe match tickets to your local lower league club? Tickets will be easily available, and they will appreciate your support. Could always become his second team.
