Present for movie making daughter

Ok this is a bit random, but I’m hoping someone can help!
My daughter has grown out of dolls this year (very sadly!) and I am really stuck for Christmas present ideas.
Her absolute favourite thing to do, is making and editing movies using iMovie on her iPad. Is there anything I could get her which feeds into this hobby somehow? I was wondering whether I could get her a proper camera/video camera that would connect with her iPad, so that set can get better quality footage to then edit in iMovie? Does such a thing exist? She has asked for a ‘YouTube camera’, but I don’t know what she means? Also, I don’t want to buy anything that she’d need a laptop/ desktop for, definitely want to stick to the iPad..

Thank you! Oh, and, she’s only 8 (almost), so nothing that is too too technical or hugely expensive, although she is actually very skilled with technology!

This kit for stop motion movies is pretty good and there are other similar ones too Animation Studio amzn.eu/d/gFzVV1T

a directors chair, one of those chalk board things, or a megaphone??

Does she have a tripod do she can make her film steady? If she appears in the movies then she might like a ring light ? A microphone would probably help the sound quality of her movies.

Honestly I’m a bit depressed by the idea of a 7 year old whose main hobby is making movies. Is this normal, or is she some kind of media savant? DD is 6 and hasn’t even got in to Barbie yet, I can’t cope with her going straight from baby dolls to social media!

You can also get special lenses - eg fish eye lens which might be fun.

Vtech do a camera aimed at wannabe You Tubers, that comes with a green screen curtain and lets you add effects, etc. Maybe she has seen that? I am not sure it will be better than the setup she currently has though.

(I am sure I paid £35 for it a few weeks ago)

I bought a light box for stop motion that works well, if that is an option. We used it with the Stop Motion Studio app, and mostly lego.

I don’t see anything wrong with it; I loved drawing at that age. I don’t think op’s daughter enjoying making movies is any different from children writing, painting or writing stories. Just the digital version instead of analogue. It’s 2024 and technology is part of life, I think it’s nice she is creative.
