Where is the best place to buy football kits?

Just that really - football kits tend to be at the top of my son's wish lists for birthdays and Christmas but they are soooo expensive. Any tips on where is good to buy from without ending up with something that is going to fall apart in the first two washes?

Any outlets near you? Adidas or Nike. You could try the outlets online or may be Vinted. I think Ali express do fakes but I’ve never shopped there.

I’ve yet to buy a fake shirt that wasn’t either poor quality when received or one that the lettering / logo didn’t come away after a couple of washes.

No way around the fact they are extortionate, but previous seasons shirts come down in price massively. Sign up to a mailing list for the club they support so you know of sales, and keep an eye on other sellers sales too.

Don't buy fakes, he'll know.

The short answer is no. Would he accept last season or away kits?

Club shop or sports shop- Nike will have any that they make same with adidas. Popular clubs as well as local ones will be stocked in any town sports shop.

Depending on what size, kids are cheaper than adults, second and third kits often cheaper, goalkeeper priciest of all and xl boys is the same as small men's but cheaper.

Current ones on Vinted are likely to be fake.

Eldest has a current hankering after shirts from 1999 and 2008 (guess the club 👹😂) so have been scouring charity shops as they sell for more that the current shirts 😂

Oh dear that sounds like a no then! Random question, but does anyone happen to know if the Man City kits come up small? We had that issue with another Premier League club kit - it was like a whole size smaller than I expected!

I think football kits in general come up small, both the club one and England one we have are on the smaller side. They are expensive, we can get away with buying the kit at the end of season cheaply as my childs birthday falls in May and he's still young, but I expect as he gets older he will want the current season! If he will wear it alot though, you will get your monies worth anyway, mine lives in his footy kids over the summer.

I always add in lots of growing room so they last a couple of years. Once you have got over the £££ official shirts do usually wash well (by hand, especially if a name on the back)) and don’t need ironing!

To get an idea of size look in Sports Direct, even if you then order from elsewhere online.

We always buy football shirts at the end of the season as well.
Last xmas we got dc shirts from Secret Shirts. It's a lucky dip of a random foreign shirt
