Garlands for stairs

Has anyone got any recommendations for garlands for bannisters that won’t cost the earth and still look lovely? I’m open to lots of suggestions for styles as long as they don’t look cheap and nasty!

So I just have a couple of plain green garlands like this and each year I dress it differently, depending upon my mood.

I got one from Lidl a couple of years ago think it was £15 and it’s great!

I usually just end up using tinsel <sadface>

I really want to get a nice garland for our stairs this year. We're in a new house so excited to decorate it! I'm also going to get a tree for the entrance hall (by the stairs) so would want the tree decorations and garland to be in the same colour theme

I’ve got a few, they go down the bannisters and over the mantle piece and on some window sills in the sun room. I’ve picked them up over the years but got the nicest ones from The Range and garden centres.

These are all lovely - thanks all for your recommendations. I’m definitely going to be keeping my eyes on Lidl and the range 🤞 I’ve not had a staircase to decorate for a decade so I’m quite overexcited that I’ll finally have bannisters to play with 😂

@KentnotClarke @AdoraBell i agree - even if people think it’s unfashionable! I love a bit of tinsel

Because I’d prefer the garland rather than the tinsel I have.
