First cologne for 14 year old?

14 year old would like his first cologne, saw the 17-21 cologne thread but most of those were a bit pricey for a younger teen I think, anyone got any cheaper recommendations than the popular Sauvage and Paco Rabanne?

Next do some nice cheaper aftershave. I got my son's first fragrance from there. One called Code Red which is nice.

Zara also do some lovely ones and some of them are dupes of much more expensive ones. This is the one my 16yo wears on a daily basis. It's only this year he's asked for a 'proper' aftershave for Christmas.

Take him shopping and let him choose. I’d never buy a perfume or cologne for someone else - it’s a very personal thing and everything prefers different scents.

Please no more Sauvage though!🤢

You can usually get some sets with 3 or 4 different ones to try from Next, Boots, M&S etc in the run up to Christmas. That can be good while they’re working out what they like.

I've just ordered from here it was posted on the bargains board. Type in 'samples' and you get a couple of sets of scents for men to try for £6.50. Also type in NOTINO20 for more money off. The postage is a bit steep though, £3.99, plus 90p eco packaging. Anyway, it's a good way to try out a few scents before committing and finding you don't like it.

My son has Blue Jeans and CK1. He also has an Issey Miyake dupe from Perfume Parlour.

I swear he sometimes wears them all.

DS16 likes different fragrances for different seasons. He's switched back to Armani Stronger With You now it's reaching Autumn.

Also ditto not to buy him one on the off chance. My son loves trying out all the different fragrances in the shop and it's such a personal choice

I get my teens from river island - about £12 and smell lovely

CK1 is a great starting point.

Smells nice; not strong enough to be offensive; not too expensive!

I got DS2 one of the Zara ones last year and he was made up with it - smells really good and under £25. Lush have a few nice ones too though discerning the individual scents of them when in the actual shop is something of a challenge

Not sure if you're near to one, or if they still sell them, but the Perfume Shop and Savers chemist's used to sell a variety box of miniature aftershaves

It was 50% off in Boots last year in some sort of promotion so def worth checking there nearer Christmas.

Age 12 ds had ck1. Now he chooses one each year usually a BOSS one. Superdrug often have really good offers too

CK1 was definitely the scent of secondary school for me . I think it will have to feature in DS stocking this year!

I got my son CK IN2U last year which he really liked it also wasn’t too expensive. If you have a Semi Chem nearby they do it at a reasonable price.

My 14 year old(now 15) loves Prada Ocean and Dior Savage.

Wait till Black Friday to get a bargain.

I also get them the body spray of Dior Savage. They both smell divine.
