Looking for present ideas for DD who will be 13. So far ideas I have are:

Nomination bracelet
Jellykat toy (specific one Nikita Kuzmin had on CBB earlier this year)
Maybe tickets to Nikita's new show next year.

DD loves horses (does weekly riding lessons and volunteers at yard), make up, skin care, clothes, guinea pigs (has 2 already!)

What are you all getting DD's of a similar age?

OP posts:

Sol de Janeiro body sprays

mrstambourinewoman · 01/09/2024 12:42

Ariana Grande perfume

MavisTheMonkey · 01/09/2024 12:46

My DD is a bit younger but similar interests and she has bookmarked half the Le Mieux catalogue so that will be a fair bit.

Couple of other ideas I have for her are:
New body protector
Mini skincare fridge
Hair straighteners
Sol de janiero 71
Pandora earrings

MerryTraveller · 01/09/2024 12:58

A pair of earrings, a snoozeband, a Fitbit, and several books. From others she received a t-shirt, some posters and £30.
Pleased as punch 😁

Peclet · 01/09/2024 13:02

Nike crew socks
adidas spezial trainers
tix to a London musical
Pandora charm

Franticbutterfly · 01/09/2024 14:50

Why the rolleyes @Crickets7 ?

longdistanceclaraclara · 01/09/2024 14:56

Dts are 13, they want Pandora bracelets, yard boots, beauty / skin care.

CanYouHearThatNoise · 01/09/2024 15:00

Skincare products
Bracelet (not fancy/expensive like Pandora, which is ridiculous for a child)
Toiletries - body sprays, hair products, shower gels
Books by a favourite author
Fleece blanket (as requested)
Cash

gingeristhenewblack43 · 01/09/2024 15:17

Some good ideas. Thanks!

Someone said fleece blanket and I'm thinking of one of those personalised / photo ones with photos of her guinea pigs on.

Also my friend suggested a mirrored stand alone cupboard, so I have been looking at those online.

Her birthday is Dec too so have that to buy for too.

What's got your goat? Mine loves it and so do her pals.

BEE08 · 01/09/2024 15:44

My DSD;
some ideas are, new books, Elf skincare range, earrings, new ear pods, stationary, cinema ticket so she can go with a friend, tickets for an experience.

I recently got mine a little hand-held mini printer that attached to her phone, with which she can print out photos etc straight from her phone - absolutely loves it!

For Christmas I will probably get her tickets to see something in London and a hotel stay. Might get tickets for London Zoo or something as well, as we really enjoyed that when we went earlier this year.

Or if I can't find a show she would like, I might possibly find a mother/daughter spa weekend that is suitable and affordable? Something with an overnight stay. I don't know if this is doable for early teens, but might look into it.

And just little bits for her room (ornaments, posters, lights etc), stationary, stuff like that. A plushy maybe. She likes stuff from Kenji - their designs are quite cute.

And maybe some home spa products - face masks, hand and foot masks etc. Might also get her stuff from Lush, or some Lush vouchers? She always wants to go in Lush and look at the stuff....

I am hoping she gets her ears pierced soon as I have been stockpiling fun earrings for her, but she is nervous and keeps putting it off!

If your DD likes guinea pigs, you can get loads of cute toys for them - scrunchy tunnels and things - that she might have some fun with?

Would you be able to link/ point me in the direction of the phone printer please? DD has said she'd like one of these for Christmas this year

My goddaughter loves:
-body shop sprays and shampoos
-lush bath bombs, lip gloss, body soap

She is obsessed with sushi. If yours likes sushi too, what about a sushi making class:
https://yosushi.com/sushi-school
You could then buy a mini-hamper of rice, rice wine, accessories etc

YO! Sushi School

White fox hoodies/ tracksuits are popular with my teen and her friends. They often do flash sales. Just got some bits for Christmas for 40% off. They seem do do this regularly. So may have another sale before Christmas.

Have you got the Amazon app? If you type in Mini Thermal Printer, a few choices come up. I got my daughter one of the ones with the cat ears and eyes - she is delighted!

(I actually got it off Ali Express, and as it was my first and only ever order from them if only cost about £.1.50 - but I suspect they are a bit like Temu and not terrible ethical).

Disasterclass · 02/09/2024 21:47

Thank you @Ilovelurchers

Newuser75 · 02/09/2024 21:53

I was going to suggest le mieux set too.
Or her own grooming kit?

Newuser75 · 02/09/2024 21:55

Oh or if she has a favourite horse at the stables have a look at doodle domino on Instagram. They put the picture on a hoodie. They are sweet.

Dd is turning 12 next week, so her birthday has to get out of the way first.. she knows a phones out of the question as I 2ant to see how she handles her old one once starting high school. She’s asked for a Nintendo switch. One that connect to the Tv, which is fine, I work for a company where I can get discount. I’m guessing most of the Rest of her list will consist of trainers, clothes, skincare and makeup. DS 16 brought her the sol de janeiro set for her birthday and I’ve also brought her Kylie Jenner lip gloss.
I’ll probs her her Ty beanies as she’s a collector and I get her the new Christmas ones every year.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 05/09/2024 21:28

My daughter is 12. She had been dropping hints about earbuds so I had that reserved as an idea until she bought some herself over the summer. They were cheapish though so maybe they won't last long!

Other than that, she is also all about the skincare and make-up, like so many others seem to be. I know she'd like some decent quality make-up brushes. And she mentioned something specific from the Ordinary. She would also like a new mirror for her room and I'm playing with the idea of getting a Hollywood mirror with lights etc.

Last year she got some customised high-top trainers, Teddy bedding, art easel and supplies and a vanity case along with books and other bits and pieces. She loved it but one thing she said she really missed was having a toy to open so I will make sure I get her some Lego or something like that.

Hoping for some more inspiration on this thread!

AnneButNotHathaway · 06/09/2024 12:17

Does she like other celebrities so that you can get her something with their photo or something from their official store? You can also make a custom desk calendar with pictures of her favorite artists or make a poster with their photo.

Could be tech related items: ring light, led lights, lava lamp, portable charger

Some small additions:
Hair accessories
Lip balms
Body sprays / lotions
Fragrance
Washable hairspray
Glitter pen set

Borris · 07/09/2024 23:50

Guinea pig bunting for her room from Etsy
Guinea pig mug from Asda
Polo belt
Record player and vinyl
Pouffe from dunelm in her room colour
