Advent calendar ideas for DD15

As it says in the title, really!

DD's advent calendar is a big part of December - her birthday is in December too so I do tend to make a bigger fuss than I might otherwise as she doesn't get it at any other time!

Last year she had the Sephora one, we've done Naked Marshmallow, Lego in previous years.

Looking for inspiration, TIA

Thanks ☺️

Bomb Cosmetics, Joe and Seph’s popcorn, Yawn Brew hot chocolate

The M&S beauty advent calendar is always good and you can get it for a reasonable price if you spend a certain amount in store/online

Last year I made my own. I bought a boots beauty box (currently on sale) which had nars, sol de janeiro and other brands my dd loves. I and then added a few other bits to make it 25. I bought little straw type bags with numbers on Amazon and put it in a cute basket. Dd loved it and it was better than a bought one as I knew dd would like the items.

Look Fantastic? You can join the waitlist for it on the app.

Harrods do a few different ones, beauty, skincare, fragrance etc.

MaltipooMama · 16/08/2024 11:32

It's very pricey but the Harrods of London beauty calendar looks amazing, personally I'm partial to the cheese advent calendars but that's probably not the type of thing you're looking for 😂

Also made my own for DD 16. She's had a beauty one but got bored of it quite quickly (how many moisturisers does one teenager need?) but loved a mix of beauty, cheap jewellery, stationery and chocolate. Filled up an old empty M&S beauty calendar box.

DD had Sephora last year. I don’t think you’ll beat it!

ZekeZeke · 16/08/2024 12:10

Lookfantastic is a great one

SevenKingsMustDie · 17/08/2024 02:40

Thanks all - I have joined the waiting list for the suggestions!

Sculpted by Aimee is another, less expensive and geared towards a younger audience

LivingOnTheVeg · 18/08/2024 07:52

It’s pricey (usually about £180) but the Lush one is amazing and usually lasts me the full year until the following December!

I'm also making my own for DD16.

I'm using the empty Next advent calendar from last year and filling it with lots of small beauty goodies.

I'm very excited 😂

Last year I made an advent hamper for my teenage daughter with bits she would like. Festive socks, festive duvet from the sales the January this year, pyjamas so she used them for the entire month, little crafts, reduced /sale cosmetics from revolution, perfume samples, snacks. She loved it
