Longleat Christmas - is it worth it?

I’ve read lots of reviews that Longleat Christmas Safari and Festival of Lights experiences weren’t great over covid but wondered whether anyone who went last year could advise whether it was back to what it was and worth the eye watering cost?
Also, is the santa train worth the add-on?

I've been the last two years and thought it was the most amazing Christmas light show I have ever seen. We've not done the train or Father Christmas bit, just looked at the animals and then on to the light trail. BUT I have been on a Monday, early on in the season. It has been busy but nowhere near crowded at that point. If you are going in the immediate build up to Christmas or a weekend, I imagine it's a lot, lot busier.

I've just booked for the last day and lovely looking pub/hotel just outside the estate night before. Thanks for the reminder!

My friend went and it was awful. They allow far too many people to attend and it was gridlock. There are threads on it here if you do a quick search
