Our generation accessories for glitter girl dolls?

Hey there I was just wondering as some people here may have bought the dolls and accessories from both our generation and glitter girls, do you think the our generation accessory play sets are okay to use or too big as I understand glitter girls are 14inch and our generation are 18 inch.

She's 4 and getting more into dolls and playsets atm so I'm treating her to 2 glitter girls dolls and the cafe set for her birthday and I'm on the lookout for some accessory sets for Xmas.

She tends to lean more towards cafe, camping and school type themes in roleplay so I thought something along those lines would be fun.

Many thanks x

Not heard of glitter dolls but we have/had a range of Designer-friends & Our generation dolls & playsets.

When my older DD first expressed an interest (she liked lots of things) I bought her and 2nd DD a bulk lot on Facebook, dolls, camping set, hair dresser chair etc.. We added to the collection mainly when sets came on sale, mixing OG & DF sets. I preferred the DF sets as they were more solid, but DF dolls are smaller.

Over the years they were played with sporadically. But both DDs never stayed focused on one particular toy or interest long. DD3 6yo (almost 7) is now interested in them. We got rid of the big play sets but kept a doll each for each DD. Right now I’m not buying any more playsets as she’s happy just playing with them, doing hair and we kept bags of clothes so she’s got lots of clothes to play with. And she already has an abundance of playsets.

The OG clothes fitted both dolls but the DF clothes won’t fit the OG dolls. I also found some fun clothes on eBay that fitted them, but this is a few years ago. Another bonus for the OG clothes is they could be put on some of the baby dolls.

When we first bought the OG dolls we had a big ELC dolls house (bought for £10 on fb) so that was used a lot during play. I found that some sets were better than others, but it really depends on the child and what they like.

I would definitely advise trying second hand first, especially as she’s so young. If she likes them you can invest in new sets. I’ve seen so much OG stuff recently in charity shops. You might have to club together accessories as charity shops don’t tend to have odds and ends like this anymore. I tend to keep accessories from what ever playsets in one box so they can be mixed and matched.
