I believe both are necessary judging by our erratic weather, Magnolia!

Can't beat a freezer dive. We have aged cookie dough in ours somewhere! 🤣

Off to the hospital for a blood test this morning. Going to test out my new blue badge (hopefully anyway, depends how busy it is). I also have x-rays booked for Thursday, what an exciting week.

At least the sun is out and I have already done a wash load. It isn't hung out yet, that would be far too organised.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/06/2024 09:05

We don't have sun. We do have dry but grey though, so our towels are on the line! We got 4-5 loads dried over the weekend, which is good. I timed getting some in well though, as it was starting to spit and actually got quite heavy (not forecast) yesterday evening.

The dog took me on a long jog today. 7.5km. I'm tired!

Lovely day here, great drying day but sadly I'm at work.

Good luck with the bloods Why.

Morning!

It ended up sunny and really rather lovely yesterday. It's grey today, but dry. Potentially it'll be as nice later on.

Office day today and I'm on a train which has a drunk gobby bloke on it. 😩 Thankfully the guard is staying nearby. (Think I've worked out why this part of the train was empty when I got on!)

OP posts:
whydoesitalwayshappentome · 18/06/2024 07:31

Blimey that's impressive being drunk at 07.30 on a Tuesday morning. Glad the guard is hanging about though.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/06/2024 07:35

Impressive is one word! 😩 The guard keeps trying to persuade him to get off, without success.

OP posts:
whydoesitalwayshappentome · 18/06/2024 07:36

Having dealt with many drunk 136 patients I feel his pain. They never liked me either and would aim their abuse in my direction which was fun. I don't miss those days at all.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/06/2024 07:46

The train is too busy for him to pace now. Thank god.

Weirdly (or not), now more men are on here he's piped down.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 18/06/2024 07:47

Hmmmm sounds about right. They often do. What a charmer.

TheBucktoothedGirlFromLuxembourg · 18/06/2024 08:07

Drunk at 7:30 is impressive. I was on a train about 20 years ago with a charming young man who got through a six pack of beer despite not having remembered to pack a bottle opener. Fortunately he was able to remove the caps with his teeth. Twist off caps have robbed him of his party trick.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 18/06/2024 08:08

I can't decide whether to be impressed that he could take the tops off with his teeth or be horrified Buck.

NoCheesesForUsMeeces · 18/06/2024 09:51

I always hate how some men can be too drunk to be reasoned with until other men arrive, then suddenly they're aware enough to know they need to shut up 😡

At a gig once some drunk bloke next to me was swaying into me and dancing around (in his seat), digging me with elbows and generally being a PITA.
I swapped seats with DH and suddenly drunk guy could keep his arms to himself.

Hope your office day is ok Fluffy

Ive got some sort of cold or something and feel rubbish. Thought it was hay fever initially but my temp is all over the place and I have a thumping headache to accompany the non stop sneezing and runny nose. It's very attractive 🤣

Into the one hundred and eighties Xmas Grin

Warm here , claggy
We're waiting on some self assembly furniture over the weekend , that;ll be fun !

Meeces sadly some women can be utter arses until they meet someone bigger/stringer/arsier

DD was annoyed at two young ladies who were stepping back actually onto her at ABBA Voyage , even though they had loads of space in front of them.
We had to poke one in the ribs and clap really loud near the others ear (with the song) , then they pissed off .
Next step would've been her ankles Xmas Hmm

Evening!

It's lovely here this evening, and apparently going to get even nicer over the next few days. 😊

The office was good yesterday. I really like the people I work with. It's just a pain getting there and back!

Afternoon!

Lovely day here but the bloody kids threw my washing line prop over the shed and its gone into the depths of bramble nettle nightmare never to be seen again - it was actually made out of the pesky bamboo so I've attempted to fashion another one but its not quite as good as DH makes so I've got the line half propped on a ladder as well. The neighbours must love me.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/06/2024 18:23

I'd send the bloody kids into the brambles after it magnolia but then according to my DS I'd never win any Mother Of The Year Awards.

<little git >

Magnoliasunrise · 20/06/2024 19:29

I took your advice 70 but surprise surprise they've both suddenly got way too much homework. I'll be throwing them head first into the brambles tomorrow 😠

Bloody kids, Magnolia!

The weather is definitely improving here, which is good! It's DD's birthday on Sunday (and 70's DD's on Tuesday), and she's had more rubbish weather birthdays than good ones, I think!

I'm on chocolate cake detail on Saturday. She only wants money for books really, so it's a weird / easy one. I need to take DS into town to choose a card and I have a Squishmallow to pick up for her as well. I imagine somebody will have to take her shopping on Sunday!

I'll be on Cake Making Duty too Fluffy .
DD doesn't like bought cakes and her favourite is banana bread ( I made two for Fathers Day , so one in the freezer )
Might do a chocolate cake for her ? (For DS birthday a couple of years ago I made one of those Hedgehog Cakes Gone Wrong , it was marvellous ! ) Xmas Grin

She has jewellery ( earrings , some stacking rings , bracelet ) books , jeans and other clothes .

NoCheesesForUsMeeces · 21/06/2024 08:42

Morning. Keep your fingers crossed to keep the good weather here as I have to walk to the post office on my lunch break 🤞🏼

Fluffy DHs birthday is mid-August and in the 20 odd years I've known him, he's only had about 5 dry ones 😳

I have thankfully got rid of my cold (so just dealing with hay fever now) but I've passed it on to DH who isn't very happy as he's away this weekend.

Hoping to finish work by 3 today but will have to depend on how productive I am - I currently have 4 documents/reports half written that I want to get finished. Having them only part-complete is making me feel icky Blush

JenniferGreenHat · 21/06/2024 09:59

Sunshine here, we’ve had lots of cruise ship visits this week.

DS is poorly this week, trying to get calpol into him has been an absolute nightmare. We got a lecture from the out of hours doctor about how we should be preparing him for the doctors, whilst DS thrashed around and wouldn’t have his temperature taken. Like our DS is the only kid like this - it’s made DH and I feel like shitty parents. DS still has a temperature, and I need to get 2 more lots of antibiotics plus calpol into him today. I hope he feels better soon, it’s been a rough week.

Afternoon!

Beautiful day here, if a little breezy (and chilly in the breeze).

I need to clean the bathrooms and bake a birthday cake. Neither fills me with joy! 🤣

Went up to That Larndan yesterday , Bethnal Green/Shoreditch then a quick stop to Westfields Stratford as DD wanted to go to Uniqlo ( she loves their clothes , good quality , nice for work )

Sunny here , I have washing to go out (glad I didn't do it yesterday as someone had a bonfire going when we got back , I;d have been Xmas Hmm )

Magnoliasunrise · 23/06/2024 12:01

Morning and happy birthday to your DD's Fluffy and 70.

Have also just made a cake as its DS birthday tomorrow - and the damn thing has sunk. I'll just fill the gaps in with buttercream and strawberries and all will be good. Its a never failed before recipe, typical!!

Hope your DS feels better soon Jennifer.
