Shocking but the stall tickets were nearly out, if you want to go close but before Christmas.

Not many more years left with kids so yeah booked them but still.........I guess if there are dumb people willing to buy, like me!

Can tick it off list now though and it's a big tick off for us.

How old were they when you started? DS will only be 2 this year so I won't be booking anything big/ that I mind walking out of half way. Maybe just a small one in the next town

Flubadubba · 01/05/2024 17:28

We took DD4 last year and she was a bit scared of all the noise. She will be 5 this Xmas and is excited about it. I would leave it a little older than 2, and maybe concentrate on going to some of the productions aimed at 2+ first (highly recommend Spot's Birthday Party if it is on anywhere near you)

We booked ours for next Christmas the day that they came out in November! If booking anything less than a year in advance nowadays there is no chance of getting seats in a box. It’s our yearly bit of theatre extravagance, very worth it

PuttingDownRoots · 01/05/2024 17:41

I got a reminder to book Santa train tickets last week! Mine are now too old... booking didn't used to open until September

BresciaBike · 01/05/2024 22:40

Ooh thanks for the reminder! The venue I wanted hadn't released their tickets when I checked in January. They have now :D

frozendaisy · 02/05/2024 02:41

Think ours were 5 & 3 when we started going.

They are 10 years older now.

We do take them to other theatre but panto seems to have stuck. Plus it's part of grandparents present because they are not easy to buy for.

Ours ended up on stage once (7 & 5) signing old MacDonald has a farm 😐

Mine are 5&9 and we started taking them to the theatre when they were about 2. They love it (panto in particular).

I booked our panto tickets in March!! Could not believe they were on sale....

Hoping I don't forget about them 😂

DrJonesIpresume · 02/05/2024 12:46

just had to buy panto tickets

Oh no you didn't!

Longma · 02/05/2024 12:54

We take the reception to year 2 children to the panto at school. We normally go early to kid December for a morning showing. We book it in December the year before.

I don't think I've ever actually booked panto tickets myself. I'm not a fan.

Blixem · 07/05/2024 09:39

Thank you for the reminder! I've just checked and my local panto tickets are out too so I've booked now.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/05/2024 09:13

Our local theatre has tickets on sale too

Usernamesarenoteasy · 11/05/2024 11:20

I bought mine for Dec 2024 in November 2023......

IDontLikePinaColadas · 11/05/2024 11:23

I booked tickets to the Kew Christmas lights in March - it’s madness!
