The elusive soccer bot

There was a thread before Christmas about the soccer bot that was out of stock everywhere.
We didn't manage to get one- which was fine as my son didnt actually ask for it but I think ge would have loved it

I just wondered if it was actually worth the hype? Are they amazing and played with loads or is it a present where it's fun for a bit and then sits on a shelf for months unplayed with?

My son's birthday is soon so wondered if i should still pursue it

Also following with interest. Wondering if it would stop football obsessed DS kicking balls around the house constantly.

Wondering the same. I ordered one on Amazon a couple of weeks ago after reading about it on here. It’s due to be delivered shortly.

Planning to keep it for DS’s birthday, but he’s only 5, so thinking it might be a bit advanced.

has anyone managed to find one yet, didn’t manage to get one for son for Xmas but it’s his birthday in a few weeks and thinking of getting him one? If anyone know where I can get one from?

I was DESPERATE to get hold of one of these for my little boy before Christmas but no luck. My mum managed to get hold of one for delivery on the 27th December.

Absolute rubbish and we ended up returning it.

The idea is great but I just don't think it's refined enough yet. The robot kept whizzing away from the ball and just repeatedly bashing into things. It seemed to keep losing connecting despite both things having brand new batteries.

I think we would buy another one if they updated and improved it, if it worked it would be an amazing toy but as it stands even my 6 year old was bored and found it too frustrating.
