I wonder if there's a male equivalent site that complains about the crap gifts we bought them? Inspired by other thread about how disappointed they were with gifts from DP

Socks, lynx and chocolate orange surely cant excite them.

My husband was genuinely excited by the socks he got, he did get fancy walking socks he'd never buy for himself though.

Agreed, I was thinking just this. Me and dh always agree not to get each other much for Xmas, as we’d rather put the money towards hols etc, but we do get a few things to open that won’t break the bank. I always get him socks and underwear because he asks for them, and a couple of nice books and some chocolate. He got me a set of 5kg weights I asked for, choc and port, and an unexpected electric blanket. We are happy but I do feel a bit bad not to have a slightly more interesting surprise pressie for him. Doesn’t help his birthday is close in timing, I’ve always used up my ideas!

We prioritise something to do together or kit for activities we enjoy. Oh and coffee, a properly caffeinated husband is essential.

Lynx would be unacceptable though.

We give each other a list to avoid this.
I find him difficult to buy for as he has interests I know nothing about: anime, Pokémon, computers etc.
I don't much like surprises so would rather have an idea what my presents are. I give him a list with options and he chooses off that so I don't know exactly what they are but know they will be something I like/need.
He quite likes surprises so I do try to get him a surprise but we have a strict £50 budget so only something small- this year it was a s'mores making kit.
