So who had to postpone Christmas?

At the 11th hour , more or less, my son and his wife got Covid. My H got Covid, so everything had to be postponed. (We don't live nearby, so there was no 'picking it up' from them.)

It's been the weirdest Christmas ever, with me and H trying to isolate at home living in different parts of the house and communicating by phone or closed doors.

Anyone else?

Yes,we did - one family member late on Chr. Eve with ‘just a cold’ - that wasn’t. Family wouldn’t have bothered but hosting dd had another family coming for dinner, whose near future plans would have been up the spout if they’d tested positive.

So dh and I were at home yesterday, having smoked salmon and bagels for lunch, and cold gammon/jackets for dinner.

However off to the hosting dd today for a belated proper 🎄dinner, with the vulnerable family gone.

I really missed the smell of turkey cooking yesterday!
