Should I buy this present (again) today?

Brought DD and DP a PS5 as a joint surprise Christmas present. It should have been delivered on Wednesday but the Royal Mail tracker hasn't updated since late Tuesday.

I called the shop on Thursday to chase and they got in touch with RM's track and trace team who said it would be delivered yesterday, but it hasn't and still no update on the tracking. I'm thinking it's probably been nicked from the Mail Centre.

DD and DP have no idea about it and aren't expecting it, so it won't be missed. But very tempted to go to Argos and buy another one, but at the same time it's really expensive and a lot to pay for again, even though I'll get a refund for the one that's MIA.

Wwyd? Write it off and forget about it or last minute Argos smash and grab?

I think DD would be less bothered but DP has wanted it for ages so would be shame not to have a nice surprise for him.
