Many years ago, 14 in fact(just looked it up), a mumsnetter posted about Christmas food and there was a typo. For turkey she typed 'rutney'.
The thread was quite entertaining as I recall, as people added their first thoughts as to what this could be.

Every year since my husband has asked me if I've remembered the rutney. Just off to the deli to get it 😀
I think for me it's cheese, olives, charcuterie. But it could be stollen or florentines?
What is it for you and have you got it yet?

Spot on! Got them all though had to settle for a lesser (supermarket) ham as our local farm shop was out of ham. Currently eating a delicious butty made with their bacon to fortify me for today's cooking tasks.
