Eldest DD has tickets (e-ticket) for Boardmasters as her main present which is just going to blow her mind and I’m so excited to give…

She is one of 3 DD’s and they all have one of the huge gift bags to represent main present, started because middle DD does have a very large, in size, main gift so the bag was the easiest way to wrap and decided to keep all girls the same.

How do I dress eldest DD’s up? I don’t have a working printer so can’t print anything out, though I quite crafty so could make something. I didn’t think about filling the bag with balloons so she has to pop them until she finds the clue/gift inside..

How does everyone else give tickets and experience, really don’t want to just hand her phone and show her…

Do you have a local library? You can print things out there, or even max spielmann, screen shot and print a photo to put in a frame or something.

I’d avoid balloons, but that’s because I’m a huge recycler.

My parents had creative ways of solving this problem when I was a teenager, especially as I loved riddles and puzzles. I unwrapped small things which related to the gift, and gave clues to what it might be. Once I had to arrange some Scrabble tiles in the right order to find out what it was.

Another time, the gift was money; admittedly, I had asked for this some weeks before. They blindfolded me, told me that my gift was in the room, and that I could ask yes/no questions about what it was, where it was, and told me to move about between questions. After lots of "no" answers, giggles from everyone else, and hints to ask questions such as "is it behind me?", I realised that when I asked "Is it in front of me?", the answer was always yes, no matter where I was. It was hidden inside my blindfold! 😆I felt a bit silly that it had taken me so long to get to the answer, but I had to admire their creativity.

Love @scalt ‘s ideas. Was wondering about a treasure hunt with puzzles; DC loved this

Our thing is that one person delivers a gift to each person from the communal heap. Then we all unwrap, play, use, wear etc, before the next person takes their turn at delivery.

One year we gave a dc an experience gift. It was just an envelope... but I had plans for it. That year I gave dh a RC helium fish, and made sure that it was handed to him early on. Later in the morning we used it to deliver the envelope to the dc.

When we got my DD board masters tickets, we put it in a box with other festival survival bits and bobs... a festival bag, poncho, bits and pits cleaning wipes, hand gel, that sort of thing. She loved it!

Just had to Google Boardmasters as didn't know what it was.

Could you do something with the surfing theme - mini surfboard, wrapped with a surf style t-shirt (trendy brand?)
