When to buy fresh turkey?

Would buying a fresh turkey crown tomorrow be too early for xmas day, will it go off?

I think that as they are on sale now they will be ok. Check the best before date and keep it as cold as you can.

Put it in the freezer for a couple of days. I bought mine 2 weeks ago

In reality, turkeys for Christmas are no longer alive wherever they are stored.
