Gluten free treats

Following on from the M&S Christmas goodies, I'd love some recommendations on gluten free treats for the festive period. Can access all major supermarkets except Asda (in Scotland so no Booths 😪)

I'm recently diagnosed, adult DCs have been living with this for a number of years. DH is non coeliac but we've decided kitchen is now a totally gluten free zone.

I have a DIL who is gluten free.

A lot depends on how big the shop is - so Tesco in Gateshead has a whole gluten free Christmas section where I got gluten free mince pies, gluten free lebkucked etc etc

Tesco local to me is smaller and has a smaller section.

M and S was pretty good - I got a gluten free Xmas pudding and gluten free panettone.

Don't both with Aldi and Lidl nothing good there.

I hope you find some nice things, I left it late this year so no gluten free cream crackers for cheese unfortunately
Nairns do a nice box which I would usually buy from Sainsbury’s but I didn’t get them when I saw them last month and now they are all sold out in the shops round me

sainsburys taste the difference gluten free cookies are normally pretty good, I think it’s a triple chocolate one I buy

apart from that I just try and buy things that are naturally gluten free although i have got the m&s gluten free Yule log to look forward to

I second the Tesco recommendation, they have a lovely selection of Christmassy gluten free treats!

I’ve been coeliac for over 10 yrs and my favourite are things not specifically labelled gluten free, but that I know are safe. White chocolate toblerone, whisper bites, after eights, milk tray, roses (chocolate lover here)
Asda had the best GF biscuits this year, but that doesn’t help if you aren’t near one.
For other supermarkets GF - the mini Yule logs and chocolate orange brownies from Sainsbury’s, Morrisons chocolate gingerbread people.

My fave this thing year is the apple crumble tarts in Tesco. Had them with a few different family members and one of them even said the pastry was nicer than they'd had recently on some non-gf mince pies. Also the blondies from Tesco are lush too!

Just to add, for special occasions or just a treat I also use the simply cake company who do amazing brownies delivered through your postbox and are all gluten free.

no good for Christmas as it’s too late but a good thing to know about

The Coop "free from" mince pies are gluten free and are lovely.
