Comic books/graphic novels like Lightfall/Goblin/Wynd?

13 yr old absolutely adores the comic books/graphic novels Lightfall, Goblin & Wynd
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

(Amulet, Zelda, 5 worlds, Wings of fire, The Aquanaut, Zelda, Rema all here & loved too)
I am wondering about Hooky...

For reference he reads huge fantasy chapter books like John Gwynne so I'm finding the gap in comic books between young stuff & young adult stuff tricky.

thanks

My DS is the same, he loves graphic novels. I find it really hard searching for new ones. There’s a series called Kaya I have bought for Christmas, 2 books currently.
I’ve also ordered ‘Danger and other unknown risks’. Just spotted there’s a new Lightfall out next year too.

Ahh thank you those both look fantastic.

I have had the new Lightfall on pre order ever since it was available but will have to try reallyhard to hang onto it until his birthday a few weeks later!

I've also spotted a choose your own adventure type book written in the world of Goblin if that might be of interest to your DS.

I'm still dithering over Hooky 🤦🏻‍♀️

@GoatsareGOAT Brilliant thank you

Garlic and the Vampire sounds perfect for your DS, if he likes it there's a second one as well

ETA: Also if you go on Goodreads and find one your DS has enjoyed, it shows others similar to it. So many and with such gorgeous illustrations.

You might find this discussion on new graphic novels helpful:

I followed up all the recommendations and am now anticipating astonished gratitude as my student nibling unwraps ‘Eight Billion Genies’.

BTW, The New York Times book reviews are a great place to discover more.

Thank you @Sonyo I've looked at that one before but thought it might better suit his younger sister. Goodreads is a great suggestion thank you - I use it for novels but have never thought to look at comic books!

That looks like a good listen thanks @MistletoeRegrets I hope your nibbling is delighted it looks really interesting

Sad Ghost Club?
Graphic novel versions of Terry Pratchett books.
Percy Jackson and Artemis Fowl books are in graphic novel form too.
Also some Sherlock Holmes e.g Hound of Baskervilles.

Thanks so much, unfortunately he's not a fan of Sad Ghost Club (happily the library have them!) He has read the novel versions of those books & annoyingly won't accept a graphic novel (or film!) of a book he's read because the visuals don't match the ones in his head 🙄😂
