How to freeze make-ahead stuffing?

I'm making a sausage-meat stuffing but need to make ahead of time. Is it better to cook it, and then freeze, or just combine all the ingredients, and freeze uncooked?

I've looked online but can't find a consensus!

How are you planning on serving it? Either way I'd freeze raw not cooked.

Freeze raw, defrost then cook

Definitely freeze uncooked and cook on the day.
But, is the sausagemeat you are using fresh or frozen? Fine if it's fresh, but if it's frozen and you are defrosting to make the stuffing, it must be cooked before you re-freeze.
