I received a Christmas e-card yesterday. Very sweet, it's. Jacquie Lawson one. I have enough cards for this year and probably next, but am a bit tempted by the idea.
What do you think? Is it soulless? If you subscribe to them, which ones?

Soulless and lazy, either send or don’t send, those cards give me the creeps.

I think you are probably right. Easy though! I find writing cards increasingly a chore. And I hate it when I hand over a card, only to be told "Oh, I'm not doing cards this year!".
Plus stamps cost a fortune and RM seems to be collapsing under the strain.

For all my family and best friends I have posted real cards.

At work where colleagues were saying "let's not do cards to ea h other and be green" - small team of 20 ish I did Macmillan e-cards and made a donation to Macmillan

I have to disagree lol. I don’t find them soulless and lazy, I think the Jacquie Lawson cards are beautiful having received a few myself over the years. It’s cheaper than posting real cards for a start and when other people I know get them, they’re so appreciated and they get played again and again

My friend sent me a Jacquie Lawson one last year. I was a bit disappointed. This year, I really cba to put the cards up and I think that's what started me wondering about doing it. I would still send cards to certain people, but sometimes it's pretty meaningless as all I have time to do nowadays is write Dear X, love from Y. And I'm so tight I get my cards in January 😯

I hate writing and sending cards so I send Jacquie Lawson cards instead, to friends whose email addresses I have. And I get cross when there is no email address.
I also dislike receiving real cards. When DH was a headteacher he had ridiculous numbers of cards from every school in the county and lots of vaguely related county council departments too. Such a pain hanging them on strings around the kitchen or standing them up around the house.

This year we have markedly fewer cards than last year, cost of stamps and some of our friends, thank heaven, now opting for the J Lawson method.

I woke up to a creepy message from Jacquie Lawson this morning telling I have yet to open and endure the schmaltz my friend has sent me.

Is that JL or is that the lazy friend. ?

Creepy as either way………

They are very cheesy and a bit twee, but I am still tempted 🙈

Plus, I haven't actually put any cards up yet, they are all in a pile in the kitchen. Shame, I used to love Christmas but nowadays it seems like extra work,

I used to send Jacqui Lawson to overseas family members because they like dogs but after a few years they all seemed the same so don't bother now, I prefer a real card but send it early.
