I've seen lots of "I'm happy Christmas is on a Monday as we don't need to rush to travel up /down this year" Threads.
DB, DS, DM and Step Dad and MIL all live 10 minutes drive from us. We don't have a big family. DH's 3 brothers live in different parts of the country but they haven't been home in years and they don't have kids.
Is it the movies where you all spend a couple of days together? Partners kids etc. Do you sleep in your old bedroom? It wouldn't be the same for me as my mum re married and sold our family home so their house doesn't feel like "going home" plus we see eachother every few weeks it's not as special. DH has been away 3 months abd he is due home but it's not the same.
Who are you travelling to see and when?
