How to stop outside icicles resetting every day.

We have 3 new sets of outside icicle lights( plugged into different rooms) that are all connected to Alexa plugs. They all come on and off on command but keep resetting to original flashing mode when they turn on. We want them static as I'm sure will drive neighbours mad with constant flashing lights! We can manually go to each room and press a button to set to static, but the reason we got Alexa plugs was that we wouldn't be running from room to room turning on and off the icicle lights! Anyone know how to make lights remember last setting and to stop them reverting to flashing mode when turned off??

That would depend on the capabilities of the lights you have, you would have to check the instructions.
If they do the same when plugged into a regular plug then it is just a case of that’s what they do and so having to change them.

My xmas tree lights are the same. Then auto rotate through 8 function once switched on which is bloody annoying.

I have a smaller set with multi function but it's great as the default is static lights until you change it.

The plug adapter part of one of our sets broke so my husband ordered a new one. With the old plug, the lights did exactly what yours is when turned on/off manually or by alexa. With the new plug, it retains the last previously used setting! I might buy another one actually because it drives me bonkers having to press the button 7 times for our Christmas tree lights. Depending on what sort of lights/adapter you have, it might be worth trying a new plug.

The one he bought is out of stock, I just checked on amazon, just look for one with a memory function..I didn't realise that was a thing until we discovered it by chance!

Just to let you know I got this transformer and it does the job! Icicles not resetting anymore. Thanks a million...didn't know such a thing exists!

You're welcome! I don't know if my husband ordered that on purpose or by accident but I didn't know they existed either until I tried it. I need to get another one now. I wish they all just came with that memory setting!
