Learning to love Christmas tree (potted)

I got myself a smallish potted Christmas tree from Sainsburies at the end of November. Got it home and found it looked a bit wonky and wasn't overly happy with it as a perfect Christmas tree.

It has lived outside since I got it as its too early to bring in a potted tree. Since I got it I've rescued it from being blown over by wind, seen it decorated by frost and just learned to love it for itself by looking after it. I can't wait to bring the wonky tree in next weekend and decorate it. I'm going to plant it out after Christmas.

Has anyone else had real tree that wasn't quite to their taste initially but learned to love it over the Christmas weeks?

Even if you hate it you can cover it in tinsel. Perfection is overrated
